Terry Lane I was born at a very young age in Port Perry Ontario - well, actually it was in the Port Perry Hospital. When I was knee high to a grasshopper, we moved from Port Perry to Oshawa and despite bouncing around the country quite a bit for work, I've settled back into the Oshawa area with my wife and daughter.
I had to save my pennies to buy my first mandolin...having walked to school all my youth to save the bus money, attending McMaster University to try to find a well paying job, and eventually setlling in to a career with the telephone company...hey what went wrong with the plan???.
After years of hard work and investing in various hobbies such as stamp collecting, and scotch drinking, I finally bought my first mandolin at age 35, and I've been playing ever since. Seriously, I really enjoy playing with these fellows; they're a great group of people and we really do enjoy the music. My father loves bluegrass and so do I, so it's pretty much ran in the family for years. I was born on November the 7th, meaning I share Billy Graham's birthday; I believe this is why I don't mind doing the odd Gospel song.
